When that fat old sun in the sky is falling, summer evening birds are calling...

Colter was dancing to the guitar solo at the end. Boy's got good taste in tunes ;-)

David Gilmour ~ "Live in Gdansk"

"Fat Old Sun"

When that fat old sun in the sky is falling,
Summer evening birds are calling.
Summer's thunder time of year,
The sound of music in my ears.
Distant bells,
New mown grass smells so sweet.
By the river holding hands,
Roll me up and lay me down.
And if you sit,
Don't make a sound.
Pick your feet up off the ground.
And if you hear as the warm night falls
The silver sound from a time so strange,
Sing to me, sing to me.
When that fat old sun in the sky is falling,
Summer evening birds are calling.
Children's laughter in my ears,
The last sunlight disappears.

Careful With That Axe, (Jay) Eugene

For something that can be nothing more than discordant noise, I don't know why this song appeals to me so much. Maybe it's because this particular live version doesn't have Roger Waters' incessant caterwauling in the mix (the mics were lost during this performance).
The title of the post? Eugene happens to be my middle name. A name for which I took endless amounts of shit growing up.

Pink Floyd - Careful With That Axe Eugene (I have lost the venue and date info. All I remember is that there are no vocals for the four-song set. The mics went out during the performance.)
